Depending on your business model, you may have different people at different stages of the customer journey all at once. However, generally your business has one major area of focus at a time.
For instance, if you are launching a product in a few months, you will likely be wanting to get very visible now so that you are ready to use the 'lead generators' and 'money makers' later on as you get closer to presenting your product.
